Our client is looking to recruit HOY Maths, English, or History to start in September, Interviews will be conducted in a timely manner, and the ideal candidate will have the following:
Student Support: The Head of Year will be responsible for providing support to students in their year group, particularly in relation to academic progress, well-being, and pastoral care. This may involve tracking student progress, identifying and addressing any issues, and communicating with parents and other stakeholders.
Curriculum Coordination: The Head of Year will be responsible for coordinating the Math, English, or History curriculum within their year group. This may involve collaborating with the relevant Heads of Department, monitoring the delivery of the curriculum, and providing feedback to teachers.
Staff Support: The Head of Year will be responsible for providing support to teachers in their year group, particularly in relation to curriculum delivery, assessment and evaluation, and professional development. This may involve providing guidance, training, and mentoring to teachers, as well as facilitating the sharing of best practices.
Data Analysis: The Head of Year will be responsible for analysing data related to student progress, attendance, behaviour, and other factors. This may involve identifying trends, developing strategies to address issues, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.
Parent Engagement: The Head of Year will be responsible for fostering positive relationships with parents and guardians of students in their year group. This may involve organizing parent-teacher conferences, communicating regularly with parents, and addressing any concerns or issues raised by parents.
